We have started deliberating….. on crests

Next week the admins and field marshals will meet to discuss mundane topics about running LMAG.

Among the issues is choosing a short list of crest designs you can vote on for the new LMAG crest. Early in March you will be able to vote on which one you like.

And yes, there are games next weekend. This weekend’s game was Saturday.

Crest Contest Closes Tonight

When we reach 00:00 Local Time on 23 February tonight, we will stop accepting entries in the crest competition.

The admins and marshals will review the crests and then post up the final five for the community to vote on.

Have an idea for a crest?

We’re still looking for ideas for the crest (aka. logo)!

Op-For Airsoft Club and the British Columbia Airsoft Club have developed into a unified local airsoft organization replacing both clubs. The name of the new organization is Lower Mainland Airsoft Group.

You as members of the airsoft community are invited to design an emblem, insignia, crest or other representation for the new organization.

The discussion group developing the new organization will review all designs and select a short list of designs. The community will select the winner from the short-listed designs and a print-ready version will be developed from the winning design for the new organization to use.

Lower Mainland Airsoft Group offers a free one-year membership to the winning designer.

Design Criteria:

  1. If you wish to incorporate in your design any element from the insignia of either BCAC or Op-For, you must balance it with an element from the other insignia.
  2. Your design must reproduce legibly within a 3.5 inch (89 mm) circle.

You may submit your designs electronically (email to secretary(AT)lowermainlandairsoft.ca), via private message to any admin or field marshal, or in person to any admin or field marshal.

The contest closes on 22 February 2013.

Unified Players Reinvigorate Simmering Community

Welcome to the new space for the Lower Mainland Airsoft Community!

At this new site, we have updated the site resources to better serve you — our player community.  You’ll find a convenient wiki for the wealth of knowledge we served from our previous sites.  You will find a gallery and quick chat.  You’ll find easier to read rules.  And you’ll find a robust forum.  We are still migrating items from the historical sites, please bear with us.  While you can use the quicklinks in the navigation bar to get at the old stuff, please start using the forum for discussions.

We’ll post announcements conveniently on this splash page with links to appropriate sections of the website.

The next game is this weekend.  See you there!
