Back to Radio Protocol Airsoft Information
A directed net is a more disciplined way of regulating high-traffic radio chatter. Essentially, one station acts as switcher giving other stations permission to send their messages. Everyone sends their messages "to" the net controller.
The basic procedure:
- net controller asks for "check-ins" in batches of 5 or so
- net controller asks first sender for their message
- net controller asks next sender for ther message and so on, in turn, till all sent
- net controller then asks for another batch of check-ins
All the other practices of radio communication still apply: brevity, form, clarity, etc.
