Because your SGB, and therefore you sux!
Lmao :p
Devil Dogs for the win!
As many people have said just go and play (you could use the two years you have to play and build your skills).
If you are a good sport and honest and become a regular player you are going to meet other players and play with and against them you'll know people and be part of the community and that is the best part.
Team vs Team it happens but we have known each other for some time and it's friendly compition (mostly) ;)
Enjoy Airsoft is the biggest part.

Following on the team theme, LMAG rarely has resources to run a tournament style of play. Deep6 has an idea for a tournament concept, though players aren't that interested in it currently.

Teamwork development is the biggest gain for joining a team. Each team has its own internal protocols and style of play, which allows members to follow their passions with others of similar interest.

Another thing to note, these player-teams usually end up forming squads within the game-day teams so in-game competition is always present. Each team will goad the other in the morning and at lunch about which one is getting through game objectives better.

Just one eh?

ANYWAYS! Teams come and go, grow in size or decrease in size. There are so many good things on being on a team and there's no harm on running solo as well. I personally have been on 2 teams and I have learned a great deal also watching and learning from the former Yellow Squad team, now know as Team Pimp.
I have sent you a pm regarding a young team, I hope this helps you out.

Cheers

I appreciate the eager help all but regarding the team, when i was at ambush last i think i saw them and they did not seem to be a team at all. More like a social group. Maybe i got the wrong impression, but there were only 2 adults there, the rest looked quite young. As well none had comms and only the adults had bdu's. Im all for people having fun at airsoft and playing the way they want. As long as they keep it safe im good with it. But the team im looking for is one that is slightly older, (i can wait 2 years) and is in it to win it. More like an actual squad with designated roles and leaders rather than a social group. Is there anything like that in the lower mainland?

Pretty much all the teams at LMAG are like that. I can't speak for the other teams, but SGB has our own organic methodoligy and skills that comes from years of playing plus some members with a military/cadet background. We all know how each other operates, know each others pros and cons. I can only assume the rest of the teams are like that from what I have seen.

When did you play at Ambush because I was there weeks ago. I think I was one of the 2 adults that you saw  Comms arent really needed at Ambush but for admins who run games. Sure comms helps a lot.

Every club in the lower mainland plays differently as the playing style reflects with type of players and most of all the playing field available. I like Panther because it has everything. I can fight my enemy by exchanging bb's from a distance or close range or try and sneak up behind enemy line if I choose to. At other fields you can only do some of these but not all. A "good" team must have everything including socializing otherwise you are taking airsoft serious and its no fun. But yeah, too much socializing is no good either

Yes, this is why i like panther very much. It feels a lot more realistic as in its very possible that a real war could happen in a forest like that. How often would a war be happening in an enclosed space with cover convieniently placed for your needs? Also i went to ambush last sunday. Lastly, i like socializing and jokes and that kind of thing in the parking lot or at lunch etc etc. But i dont enjoy it when im trying to play a sport and ill be like to my friend "enemy on my 9, lay down suppressive fire ill hit him from behind" and my friend will say "why dont u just say theres an enemy right there" and make fun of the fact that im talking as though im in the military (its happened ) hopefully i can find a team that suits my needs
