What do i absolutely need to start

Post2013-08-11 / 04:38 UTC GMT +00:00

I have an AEG, boots and other misc items. Are camo gear and such really necessary to start?

I've read through the Intro and I still have a few questions.

Looking at purchasing a decent set of goggles, do anyone have any recommendations of goggles that fit small frame glasses?

Also, for barrel socks do anyone know where's a good place to pick them up for cheap? I looked online and couldn't find any local retailers that sell them.

Oh if we had a nickel...lol

Absolute mandatory equipment is eye protection (either ballistic or paintball goggles. No shooting glasses). Some sort of airsoft rifle/pistol (obvious). Barrel Condom. And a red kill rag (either a red bandana, toque, or cut up shirt works)

Recommended equipment is good footwear, extra magazines, some way to stay hydrated (water bottle or hydration bladder) and a radio.

As for camo, its not mandatory, although it will work in your favour. That or darker clothing (tan, green, or black) will work in the meantime. Places to get camo are DS tactical in new west (http://www.dstactical.com/), poco military in langely (http://pocomilitary.com/catalog/), and a few other places in the lower mainland

For eye pro that will fit glasses, I know a few guys use paintball goggles and they fit rather well (or if you can, do what I do and just put in contacts, which is what I recommend). And for paintball goggles and barrel condoms, you can get them at any paintball store, such as http://www.paintballgear.ca

Hope this helped

Check out the wealth of said information in the Airsoft Info pages, visible in the very first page's main list:
http://www.lowermainlandairsoft.ca/info ... _to_a_Game

It's the article on Gear Basics and What to Bring to a Game. Also linked from the Getting Started section.

By the way, the Airsoft Info and Getting Started links appear at the top of every LMAG page.
