BIO BB'S

Post2013-07-22 / 16:51 UTC GMT +00:00

Please be advised that Bio BB's are MANDITORY at Maple Ridge Paintball so if you want to attend there games you must use bio's and this will be strictely enforced.

This the way of the future so it is advised to look for bios in the weight you prefer or if you know a good source please post up so others can get what they need.

I have 4 or 5 bags of .25, .28 BIO BB'S right now I have been testing for the last 5 weeks. They have been good so far. shooting them througth 6.02 6.03 dia. barrel's with no problems. I'll start looking at getting them in the weights that we use.

Have you been using the same open bottles for the last 5 weeks? I would be curious if you noticed any performance degradation or jamming.

A few people I know used them in Korea for a while but had issues in the summer with them jamming after the bottle had been opened for a while. Something about the 40deg heat in 100% humidity didn't agree with them.

Any recommendations on where to buy some?

from what I have seen.

Milsig has some as does panther. If you are in Langley there are some at Poco military.

Claymore, what brand will you carry?

I have used G&G and Bioval for years and recently tried Elite Force BB's. I never have had a problem with any of these BB's jamming in any of my tight bores but I did find a few broken G&G bb's in the bag. Bioval where the BB gold standard for years in Europe & the U.S. and from my experience are as good or better than BB Bastard's non bio's. Bioval's would sell out in days even with price tag's as high as $25 for a 1 kg bag but lately I have found their .25's for wholesale prices from Airsoft GI. 4000 bb's for $12. Might be worth your while if you can pick them up from the states but if you order them to Canada be prepared to pay a $25 brokerage fee. At least I did with my last 10 bag order. Milsig sells a brand I have never heard of so you might want someone else ''cough cough'' like Dice to test them out but they seem very, very cheap so I would be a little skeptical but Camouflage was selling Elite Force a few months ago and they are excellent bio's.
Hopefully Claymore's field testing goes well with the bags that he has and will be able to source some precision bb's as I have always found his pricing fair and much cheaper than some local retailers who sell BB's for $30 a bag.
It sucks for snipers though. Good luck sourcing .4 Bio's.
For those of you who think Bio BB's will melt away in the rain after a few months or a year you are mistaken. The Bio BB's I buried in my back yard a few years ago are still in near spherical shape and show no signs of composting anytime soon.

Anybody have any tests with systemas or GBBRs with bios? I've heard bad things about the combination of the two due to stronger forces against the bb's causing them to shatter or something.
