I have sat idle and listened to this posting filled with innacurate, he said, she said, "I have no clue what i'm talking about bullshit," and have decided its time to speak up.
First off Thursday nights is a fun SAFE evening of airsoft games at Panther, run by a Ref with 8 years experience in the sport and THE OWNER with 24 YEARS experience running Painball games, SAFELY. Stick that in in your bitchpipe. And get your facts straight.!
Do I know every in, and out, of an Airsoft Gun?...No,.....NOT YET, but I can Guarantee I'll know a hell of a lot more than most of you soon and probably I already know more than 50% of most players. Don't concern yourself with safety at Panther. However maybe it's time I personally inspected and chrono all Airsoft guns? and inspect every pair of goggles? maybe you're correct, safety should not be self regulated, left in the hands of people with their own agenda rather than the field ?
In 24 years I have never seen a whinier quote
Char wrote:they are still in the adrenalin infused paintball masochistic mentality of teaching each other to be better players by causing each other pain, that is their choise...
than this. I would guess that's as opposed to a militaristic, wannabe paramilitary, GI Joe dressup fantasy Big Bang Theory adult, who's never been to war, but like to look like I do, and if called to war would be hightailing it the other way, type person? Or is that also an incorrect generalization made by someone who really doesnt' understand the concept?
I guess if it isn't LMAG way it's incorrect? Sorry Char just cause you say so doesn't make it right.Thursday nights are fun night of games for people who aren't into the tightassed MILSIM objective based way some clubs or groups play.
In the past few months I had so many people come to me and say they wanted to play airsoft, but weren't really into the whole MILSIM type way of playing. We said "fine" we would offer an alternative.
So to use paintball as an example
Woodsball, Indoor, Speedball, Pump, Magfed.......all different, all the same sport. So Thursday nights right now are individuals enjoying AIRSOFT, maybe not your "my way or its wrong style of play", but a bunch of people playing airsoft on different levels. Some games semi, some full auto, some limited magazines some open use. And that's just the way it is.
Maybe rather than badmouthing something you have no clue about you should look into it, before you shove glass up your ass and sit in your hot sauce.
In 24 years I have never heard a stupider quote than
Char wrote:we can only hope they see safety as a concern sooner or later

I dare any of you to come to my face and tell me that Safety is not a paramount concern at Panther
Thursdays will continue, as will our rental program on weekends, with the great feedback and the way its been growing recently, it may be time to take a hard look at the people who have maybe been given preferential treatment only to have them abuse that by biting the hand.

My two cents so flame away..... but make sure the flame thrower is fully fueled.

Wow I think this got out of hand rather quick and maybe not looked into by either side very well. I think Panther has a very great record for safety with paintball and with airsoft whether games run by us or other and Panther is right as to that all players like different games and as for fps limits they are different across the board and everyone has their own opinion on them. That being said opinions should be kept respectful and factual. I personally love the pretend military aspect of airsoft and the tactics behind milsim play and not the biggest fan of run and gun but when I first started I loved run and gun so different strokes for different folks.

Discuss on but lets keep it clean gentlemen. and no talk about hot sauce up the ass as that would suck.

Well said deep6. I made it out to the game on Thursday it was good to meet and play with some of the panther staff. Kyle and elliott set up and ran the games and there was a wide range of players from first time players to experienced paintball and airsoft players. The games are very differant from what LMAG plays they are vary quick and very close, the best way to describe it is paintball with airsoft guns lol. For me personally some of the games where a little to close for full auto but that's just my preference. In the end I think its great that there are more options out there for airsoft if you like fast pace games this might appeal to you. This is fairly new for panther so I look forward to seeing how the game will develop and grow.

How soon people forget, you have to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run.
The amount of "paintballers" we have been steering toward Airsoft would stagger you if you knew. But before you can run more "involved" games you have to introduce them to what they have, and that is not an overnight thing. The Thursday nights are becoming more "advanced" and the people are heading more toward objective based games. ( our plan all along) So maybe rather than bash what you really don't understand,..learn and be supportive that a long time Paintballer is trying to take up the Airsoft cause.

And a final note:
The games go about 6-10, the earlier games are in the woods, then as dusk falls we move out to the city or the mounds field
With recent improvements such as field marking, flag stations and flags on all fields, relighting the city, and extensive work beginning on the "swamp" field, one would wonder at the caustic comments on here?

Thank you for posting the info regarding the PAC night games Prime. At the end of the day paintball and airsoft are shooting sports. The main objective for both is the same , FUN. As long as players are having fun playing that's all that matters.
