I'd already read that one, thanks. But the link is broken in it, and the posting is a bit older (2012). So just thought I'd see if any body has any recent beta on radios. I saw a few people using radios that had a silver faceplate on them & a whip antenna that's about 6-8" long. I should've paid a bit closer attention to them & found out the brand/model.

This is a very common radio, highly recomended. Infact i'm going to be getting this one is the near future, just because I want a dual band radio
