Stores to buy guns and gear?

Post2013-04-08 / 00:49 UTC GMT +00:00

Hey guys, I had a great time at the Milsim on Satruday, but I'am looking to get some new gear and most likely a new gun. So I was wondering if you guys could post a small list in the comments to let me know where to look and where not to. I also would like some suggestions on what style of AEG I should get, leaning more towards an M4 or M16.

Thanks in advance!

There's a list of retailers in the forums.

Go look at the stores to hold guns and see what feels good to you but shop around when it comes to price.
When you figured out what you want ask about where would be the best place to buy from ex: in a store or on line.
Best of luck in your AEG choice :)

Planned playing style and preferred role or theme influence your choices.

Refer to the list faded pointed to for recommended local sources. In addition to those stores specializing in airsoft, you can find gear at local army surplus, paintball and sporting goods shops.

*Please Note* that Mackoutdoors is getting out of Airsoft and is clearing out their inventory!

Like the other fella's had said, visit a store like Milsig or Warcraft as those two stores have the most selection currently for fondling all types of rifles. This I know first hand however I can not say what type of selection other stores have at the moment because I haven't visited just yet so I'm not picking a fav just suggesting what I know off hand.
The most common starters rifles are M4/16's series, MP5 series, AK's series, M14's series and G36 series. Other rifles like Scar's, AUG's, Masada, Famas (ugly but rare) and My fav, L85A2 are also around on the field. Let's not forget Shotguns and sniper rifles oh ya and pistols too!. Also to mention the WW2 line of rifles as well.
One great thing about airsoft, there is so much to choose from.

Best of luck on your choice and your adventure into Airsoft.

cheers

MASADA~ L85A2 .....Who you callin' ugly! :P

Also, if you see a weapon you are curious about on the field, ask about it. MOST people will gladly hand it over and give you there two bits about it.

Like Rampage said, go out and feel em. That's the best way (just like test driving a car). Going with an AR15 style aeg though (in my opinion) is probably the best type of aeg for someone who plans on becoming a regular player. The AR15 platform literally has endless options. It can be anything from a CQB rifle to a DMR, and everything in between. Plus there are numerous accecories and parts (replacement and upgrade) for the AR15 platform, and every gundoc is familiar with a Ver2 gearbox. In my opinion, get an AR15 (m4/m16/hk416 or even a SCAR-L).
