The balance between fogging, face protection, cheekweld, and headgear is all very hard to maintain. I've stuck with my JT thermal lenses due to their versatility, clarity, and their ability to practically never fog. My experience with x800's is less than satisfactory with fogging, however they are perfect fit for helmets and everything else.
Anything ballistic I'm weary of in airsoft due to fogging issues, though. Paintball goggles, despite their bulkiness, have been consistently effective. I would consider ballistics with fans inside, though. However my JT Spectra thermal lenses have been nothing short of terrific, despite poor fit with helmets.
Don't fix what ain't broke I guess.
However, if you do find something lower profile that performs just as well, I'm all ears. I want to wear helmets...
