
If LMAG was to have it's own frequencies, the GMRS radios would end up being our PRR radios and then the squad RTO would run a longer range radio with the LMAG frequencies as well as one with GMRS for his squad.
For a commercial license, I think LMAG could hold the license as an organisation and give permission to all its members to use the channel. I need to check. You probably be more able to avoid licensing your UHF/VHF under this case than the amateur case.
The commercial radio license costs a bit more because it's annual, while the amateur license is lifetime with no annual fees.
Having our own frequency would eliminate outside traffic.
