I would say start with OD if you cant match your camo yet and next time go with what matches your camo.. And as a side note you amy have noticed a lot of players switch to molle belts instead of full vests, or plate carriers and such just for ease of movement and its lighter.
Some people think I am trying to be sneaky, its really that my eyes are not as good and I have to make sure its a tree and not the enemy! Trees do not call hits. I have shot a few.

currently Ive been wearing marpat. Ive used coyote brown on my molle rig before, to try and get a more authentic marine look, and it kind of matched the field i used to play in. With MRP tho in the woods, I was worried the brown would stand out, but I would miss that marine look, as silly as that is.

I suppose it might not be as big of a deal when theres little movement involved as the cook off brought up, so it shouldnt concern me too much I suppose. i remember someone was in kind of in a bush and i never noticed but when they moved around to I think change positions, it was pretty hard to miss.

I guess this was kind of a dumb question to be stressing over.

The little things count liz the less contrast you have between you bdu and you vest/belt the better. I personally can pick out tan way easier than od on the field.

No need to stress :p

People use what they think looks best, or performs best, or both in some cases. It's always just about the individual. If you want a certain look go for it. The tactical advantage of camo matching your surroundings is a small advantage when you compare it to knowing how to stay concealed, unless of course you're wearing all pink. As cook-off says, just don't move and you won't be noticed in many cases.

Personally I have multiple bdu's in different camo and multiple rigs in different camos/colours, but I've found that I just picked a favourite and stuck with it. Only exception would be milsims where I need to wear a different color than my usual gear.

Just keep buying whatever comes in mind, lol. That's what I did. It's my 4th year of playing and I am not cheap when it comes to gear and stuff. I have tried different colors of rig and different set-up (Plate Carrier, Vest, Chest rig, belt with harness, etc.) and to be honest, no single set-up/color that works for all kinds of purpose/role. Lately, I realized I've spent too much  so I settled with Coyote Brown and I know it works/blends well n 90% of our playing field. I use Partizan and Multicam and CB matches good. I've also settled with Plate Carrier (winter), Chest rig (summer), belt system with harness (sniping).

As mentioned and discussed many times, there so much to consider when getting a good set-up. Looks, mobility, effectiveness etc ..

I guess theres no real right or wrong answer. I always suppose I could go with both, and use them variably.

I suppose my final question is if I go to ice back, would CB vest put me in ISAF? Im sorry if all these questions seem silly.

I've blindly walked into both CB and OD so either's fine.
I go with CB/Khaki though because I like the look better, and it goes with literally all patterns.

Coyote brown seems like its okay in any environment, but it seems like when OD works, it works good.

It's based on your camo not your rig. Technically a green based camo with a tan rig is still green (opfor)

or you can ditch the whole bdu thing and go shirtless just like rambo with just a badass headband
kidding aside, i like OD and most of my rig are OD but i recently invested on ATFG for my winter rig but i knda wished i went CB, as it matches any bdu.
