I know the lot is small, but what is the public forest access road out the back by the power line? I played there with you guys around Christmas and the road look good and lots of area to park, possible the day could be split, half in the main lot and half back there? could cut done on walking time, just a thought!

As for MRP and parking.

I've been trying to explain this to everyone for a while. The forest is private, owned by UBC. It's part of the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest. The Research Forest allows hikers and maintains a parking area near their only (gated and monitored) entrance. The likelihood of forest pickups and hikers along the road (Road G) is too high to permit further play on that upland area.

We also need to figure out when BC Hydro plans to finish constructing the new transmission lines parallell to the existing ones (foundations started, materials stored nearby). At other entrances to the rest of the transmission right of way BC Hydro has set up chainlink gates brimmed with barbed wire to control vehicle access. They might work weekends.

Let's consider setting up Burma for periodic use.

Extremely unlikely, given they are union employees and BC Hydro rarely pays overtime since their union gets double time instead of time and a half.

But that aside, shuttling from the roadway may still work if Aaron is okay with us parking 2-3 vehicles in the parking lot on a Saturday.

That's quite a bonus. That is, if BCH is constructing the towers themselves and not hiring contractors who only pay normal OT rates.

But, let's keep this thread about Burma and the MRP ones about MRP.

just outside the parking lot at MRP the road seemed wide enough to easily accommodate parking, but I did not notice how many could safely park! on a popular Saturday expecting 30-40 airsofter (possibly more if all are looking for a new home) we could see a steady 40-50 players or more?

that could equate to 20-30 vehicles looking to park, but a norm of 15-20 for sure! e

we could get the calculator out but I guess the questions need to be directed to the owner of MRP?

parking aside. For the "ferns" field. How big roughly is it? And how much work is needed for it to be decent for objective games. I know the airsoft side we have been playing on still requires quite a bit of work but the potential is huge, especially if we get some structures built.
