I'm wondering what the deal is with magazines,do some brands of magazines not fit certain guns?
I have a lonex m4 and am looking to buy 5-10midcaps so I'm wondering if any brand will work or if I'll have to get a certain brand.?
P.s. Lonex does not have midcaps that I know of only flashmags

Indeed, some guns will not take all mags.
My advice to you is see someone on the field and ask them if you can try a mag.
I have Pmags, Lonex, and 416 mags. I could bring out for you to try.

if you find me on the field i will be more than happy to lend you a P mag.
in theory all m4 mags should work in all M4 guns. but sadly this is not the case. personally im all about p mags. flawless feeding and they are tough as nails.

I've never owned an M4 but the six guns that I have owned that take M4 style magazines have accepted every midcap I have ever tried in them. I currently use P/E mags, Socom Lancers, metal Mag brand, King Arms, ICS,VFC and G&G. I have heard that fitting plastic magazines in moulded plastic magwell's on AEG receivers can be hit & miss depending on the moulds the manufacturer used but that is fairly rare.
My advice is bring your gun to one of the seven airsoft stores in the Lower Mainland and ask them to try out some of their magazines.

Actually eight stores ASG, Trigger, Milsig, Guerilla, Camouflage, Warcraft,Poco Military and a new one in the Crystal Mall called , wait for it........ ''War Face''. I think they broke Google translate.
Although they are a Paintball store Badlands Paintball also sells airsoft guns now.

Mack Outdoors is not a store just a supplier of airsoft. They are not any more of a store than I am, Canadian Gun locker.
Shoot you later,
