Waivers and Anything else before First Game?

Hi.

Is there any way I could get a copy of a youth player waiver so that I can bring it to the field this Sunday? I live in Vancouver, and it would be a hassle for my parents to come down to Panther just to sign my waiver.

Otherwise, I've read the rules and think I'm ready to go. I will be getting a full paintball mask this week, but just to clarify- a full paintball mask doesn't mean it has to cover the back of the head right? (only the front of the face and ears)

Is there anything else I need to do/acquire/bring aside from a radio and killrag before Saturday? What about barrel condoms?

I'm here to learn, and am open to any constructive criticism you have for me on the field!

Emile :)

For field waivers, you must contact Panther. I'm pretty sure they will want to see your parents signing your waiver.

You need a barrel condom and your paintball mask does not have to cover the back of your head. All that is required is that it seals around your eyes, as for the rest of your face that is personal preference but I advise one that covers your face especially if you are just starting out. It sounds like you are pretty well ready to go so come on out and join the party.

While for players 18 years old and up we allow personal preference to dictate the lower face protection, all younger players must wear full face protection.

LMAG has adopted the Op-For rules as the transitional ruleset until we generate a unified set of rules (it's the one that's more comprehensive). This transitional set of rules requires all youth players to wear full face protection. Players at 18 are free to choose whether they want to risk paying the $ 5,000 to fix their teeth.

The protection is for your teeth. We don't mind you having the back of your head bare.

Thanks a bunch!

I found the link on the panther website for the waiver:

Would approved goggles and a hard mesh face mask that covers the mouth be acceptable for a 17 year old player?

Yes. Lower face protection is a must for anyone under 18, whether it be Plastic mask, Mesh or other. As long as your teeth are protected from a solid face protection, you are good to go.

Jsae , I suggest you have a look at the wiki again as it does not mention Ballistic style goggles under the goggles thread other than PB ones.

Indeed it does, because I don't have a list of recommended brands, models, or otherwise. I have added text about Panther and Bigfoot now.
