Is there any place to practice locally?

Me and my brother and are just getting into airsoft we are going to the evening game at ambush on Thursday and it will be our first game can't wait!

We both live in apartments all tho shooting at a target taped to a towel hanging in the hall is pretty fun haha we don't have enough distance to really practice. I called the non emergency police and spoke with the supervisor who said that the only place I am legally allowed to shoot is at a gun range?

So I am just wondering if there is anywhere that you guys know of preferably in the burnaby area to practice shooting long distance? Has anyone dealt with cops with their airsoft and did it get confiscated?

Yes they will get taken from you and worse if you use them in public. Go to an airsoft field and pay the 10 bucks to use a range. Better yet just start coming to games and shoot me instead.

Even better you can practice shooting moving target that shoot back.

I my opinion shooting real steel at a stationary target is fun for the pure rush of releasing the energy of a live round...

Now trying to hit a moving target that has the option of firing back, now that is a rush.

Come out this Saturday at Panther to hone your shooting skills and give those towels a rest.

Hey thanks for the replys and I agree shooting a moving target that shoots back is a lot more fun but still was hoping for a place to dick around on days when there's no game. Me and my bro will be out this Thursday and Sunday working Saturday hope to see you guys out there.

It’s really great that you asked this question before heading up to your local park for some target practise. Thumbs up for you.

Like it has been mentioned, the only safe and legal place to shoot your AEG is at an established Airsoft field or a Rifle range (you will be made fun of, just a FYI)

We were all new to this sport at one time or another. the best practise is getting out and gaming.

If you have friends or family with some acreage or a large private yard, you can practice shooting farther. But if you can see cars or people, they can see you and the guns are too real looking to take chances. Good luck playing, and now you get to have something shoot back!

The best practice is to just get out to an airsoft game and play. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to knowing your guns range and accuracy. I played my first game with BCAC and I don't think I shot a single person all day. If your worried about how your guns are shooting prior to a game day I would recommend bringing them to your local airsoft shop to chronograph to make sure they are shooting properly. Also show up EARLY to any field that your playing at and shoot a few dozen BB's down range so you can adjust your hopup unit.
