Arrived at our new secondary field at 09:00 to find Lupo had arrived moments before and discussed where we could set up various range coarses on this field ... then as fate would have it even after a month and a half of sunny weather we still managed to have a sniper clinic on a rainy BC day complete with thunder and lightning! Students showed up between 09:45 and 10:30 , at which point we sat down to go through the theory and discussion
in attendance:
Instructor/Assistants:Char, Lupo, Xcon
Level 2 Students: Ace, Cav, Vlad1982, DirtyHarry
For such a small group i was impressed with how active they got in the discussion( some previous large groups only had 3-5 active speakers ). By 12:30 we were going through kit choices, gillie suits and stable firing positions followed by some cam painting basics by Lupo (both face and gun). After a short break we did a range estimation coarse with Cav managing to find the most of the targets i set out but Vlad managing to have the closest estimates. 13:00 we had them gear up for the bound and in the heavily over grown field that Maple Ridge Paintball calls cheeseburger hill it didnt take any of them long to get into a ffp although faces were spotted poking through the greenery trying to take tier shots... Dirty Harry making good use of natural foliage for a makeshift head gillie being the most impressive after pointing out what had been seen on his first attempt
