ok looks like i'll be the first.

first off a big thanks to the dedicated few who tirelessly worked the field to make it as great as it was, clearing and marking trails for the goodness of the club!

secondly a big thanks goes out to Cook-off for running his sim! the objectives and challanges made for a constant flow of events.

And i would be remiss if i didn't mention a HUGEthanks to all those who donated prizes:

Dave's Surplus and Tactical

007 Airsoft

Damageinc

DrunkenTeddy

now for the pro,s

learning that the non armband team had ALL THE MILK BOTTLES AND GLOW STICKS!!!!!!

con's

So after our team captured all the objectives and got them back to our base I switched leader roles with deep6 so's i could get out and do a little creeping and peeking.

now not 100% sure if it was a DD/SGB cleaverlly disguised as a tree trying to, or if it was an actuall tree but while I was creeping i turned my head to the right and got an instant drop to my knee's pain in my right ear Something was in there and it was killing me! I had turned my head into a little dead branch on a tree and it punctured my ear drum. I kinda knew that i was i trouble. This was fucking killing me and i couldn't get it out with my gloves on so I had to take them off. Managed to pull it out and then could feel the blood coming out.
With the help of Damage and deep6 i was escorted off the field, i ended up going to a clinic in MR was seen by a DR. and confirmed that I had punctured my ear drum.
And on top of that I get back to the field and find out that our base was over run and we lost all our goodies :(

All in all with the exception of the pouring rain in the morning to get every one soaking wet and MRP's stupid crono/waiver rules= late start and a punctured eardrum and loosing all the goodies it was a good day! ;)
better to keep your mouth shut and be presumed a fool
rather to open it and remove all doubt

don't ever mistake my silence for ignorance
my calmness for acceptance
or my kindness for weakness

A big thanks to all those that helped with building the field and putting on the sim. Although I was soaked when the game started, it was warm enough all day so I wasn't cold. I had my usual battle with Deep Six and I think I was ahead this time. Thanks Chris, I always look forward to them. After that I headed north and it was nice to have the trails to move thru that area, nice job Claymore, and whoever helped with that. I heard noises heading down the northwest side and by the time we heard Char say our base was being attacked we got there after all our objectives were taken! Well we regrouped and I think our whole team pushed on their base from every direction. After 2 hours, and almost everyone on both teams dead Char covered me as I moved in, grabbed a few things and took off running back to base. Next, other guys from our team grabbed what was left and brought it back too. We set up a perimeter and held of two small attacks to win the game.
Teamwork payed off big time for us! Thanks guys. That was a huge effort. If Pavel hadnt started by taking our stuff, the game may have turned out a lot different. And Pinoy, your 3 shots hit 2 trees and thin air. You dont usually miss me but I am glad you did this time. I am sure you wont next time.
Great prizes from the sponsors, and it was great to see a new guy win the gun.
Thanks to everyone that showed up, even in lousy weather, to make it a fun day.
And Jethro, get better soon. It was your right side rite? Just so I know which side of you to sneak up on.
Some people think I am trying to be sneaky, its really that my eyes are not as good and I have to make sure its a tree and not the enemy! Trees do not call hits. I have shot a few.

I was on an awkward position plus my goggle were fogging. But you made me laugh though, seeing you lost your footing and fell to the ground after I shot you haha.

What a great game, with a bunch of heart stopping fast paced with some good creeping around. Great MILSIM!!!!

A lot of the young guys on the non-armband team where relentless sorry I need to remember you names. I defiantly know where to start looking for you... some of them were taking good advantage of the Wet forest ground and they were siding around like snakes through the ferns. I think the first three times I was shot were from those snake's in the fern's  o

Thanks to all for your contribution to making the day a successful one.

I can report that Pinoy has not lost his aim... :o

I thought I had the drop on one of his team mates I slid in for the mercer, I look to the left around the big tree in DEEP6 Base... as I get out "MER**” I get shot from about 4ft. away from this Tree with a Pinoy arm extended from it cool as a cumber  .

After my bleed out I headed home thinking of the letter I would of had to write my wife as to why I would be coming home in a box if it was real. As I crested the hill towards our base I saw an enemy sitting in our perimeter line looking out??? As I turned the corner I see the Green Grinch that stole Christmas (Pavel) with his arms full of our LOOT. As he pass me he said "GOOD DAY SIR"

Well, to say that was the motivator to kick this MILSIM into HIGH GEAR for me!!! Just like the newpaper artical posted on the team dressing room noteboard.

We had a team imbed deep in enemy territory being very patient then the rest of us divided into three squads and we hit the North base from four different angles in the end we punch in a hole for Bushman to return the favor of scooping up a good portion of their loot. Them we bandaged up our wounds and came back to finish what we started and cleaned house. We heard that Jethro was down, it was too bad but you can’t keep a good guy down for long. Jethro came back after his Visit to the ER… If the truth be known I bet Jethro just wanted to go and checkout the ER Nurse’s that Chris had been bragging about at the hospital. Jethro probably showed up complaining that “I pulled my groin (you know for a little rub) and I think I damaged my ear.”

The non-armband team tried a comeback but we were ready and we didn’t give them a toe hold on the creek bed and soon the winds in their sails were spent. They had ran out of time…

That is how I saw it. ;)

Thanks again to all that came out to Play Lets do it again SOON!!!

Yeah it was a big mistake choosing the base we did. Once you guys got organized and attacked from every direction it was only a matter of time before our base fell. I must admit I am surprised at how long we held on. Good on you guys.

At the end the handful of us tried one more siege on your base. I think I was the only one to literally climb out of the creek bed up to the main trail to your base. Got one guy but the numbers overwhelmed my attempt. Was fun though.

Thanks to Cookoff for throwing the sim. Also a big thanks to our sponsors. Last but not lease, huge props to all the guys that braved the downpour and bugs to make it a great day.
