UPS will charge a brokerage fee on EVERYTHING that crosses the border. I had some backordered BBs come via UPS and they charged me $12.. made for an expensive bag of BBs. Expect tax + brokerage fee if it crosses the border in UPS' hands.

See: http://www.ups.com/content/ca/en/shippi ... rance.html

Sometimes they won't even charge you immediately, they'll send you a bill months later. But believe me, they will bill you

Call some retailers when ur gonna buy something online and ask if they'll ship with regular USPS. Some places will do this, and no brokerage fees

Also from my experience Evike charges twice the shipping to Canada then almost all other Californian airsoft retailers and they don't care. I have sent many emails trying to figure out their crazy shipping prices and they just blew me off.

yup the US retailers are a little weird to figure, hit and miss with shipping charges and brokerage! of course with Christmas coming and their thanksgiving deals , I just did a bunch of shopping 8-).

so I boil things down to three AEGs, check shipping for all three, all weight and size are very similar but, shipping varied as much as $15 +/- ? still ordered naturally :D

also have found shipping is much cheaper in the US than the same AEG from say, Toronto airsoft

What method are you shipping this package?
The answer “via UPS” is not good enough. You need to know if they are sending it UPS Ground or Air. If it is air make sure the shipping costs are not too high. If the shipping costs are low for air you may have found a great deal. Why? Because most consumers and many businesses do not understand that shipping air with UPS will result in NO Entry Preparation Fees (Brokerage Fees) You still incur a COD fee and Bond fee but the UPS Entry Preparation fee is the highest by far of them all.

I think I will try this this christmas.
I'm so operator when my battery dies I take my barrel out and use it as a blow gun.
