Brace plate problem?

My gun seems to have a brace plate that supports my gearbox and protrudes down in my reciever into my mag well preventing magazines from sitting properly. I'm wondering if there is any way I can trim the plate down or adjust the plate so that I can fit in other magtazines. The only magazines that fit right now are Lonex flash mags, and now they aren't sitting properly.

there shouldn't be any Kind of plate hanging down?
Does it have an ambidextrous mag release? if so then it has just slipped out of the catch.
Is the "plate" bar across the back side of the mag-well closes to the trigger?
If so don't start cutting anything a five minute fix.

Are you referring to the top part above the hop-up unit? If so, I wouldn't recommend touching that, but hey, I could be wrong....

Notice the broken gearbox

Its on the side of the gear box.
