Well, for tose of you o read on my oistol forum. I solved the problem with my pistol amd it was simply the mags were not warm enough. When testing today, i turned the hop off all the way off and it still seemed to have bbs droppin out o the barrel which was fairly unfortunate. However after experimentstion involving my mags and a fireplace, i figured out that after heating the mag to room temperature in front of the fireplace before shooting i was able to shoot off every single shot with no issues. This raises a problem, i obviously do not have portable fireplaces out in the field and therefore ask the question, how do you guys keep yor gbbs operating in the winter when the weather is chilly. Or is it actually a problem with the gun and normally it's supposed to shoot even in cold weather. Any ideas or advice? Im open to everything, there are no stupid answers, so please pitch in.

I only get like 3 shots off of my gas m1911 in cold weather before I have to warm up my mag some how. Armpit works.

I understand that GBB's do not function as well in the winter... Do you live in a freezer?

You could always try holding your Gbb mag in your pocket, or an m4 mag carrier with a chemical hand warmer.

The chemical hand warmer idea is pretty smart lets keep the ideas coming! And i knew they dont perform well, just not that they barely perform at all, damn you physics!

propane is a liquid gas, that's why it works so poorly in the cooler weather, it has been a time old issue in airsoft, gas guns are crap in the fall/winter and into spring.

I will keep my gas mags in my pocket as long as I can before using them, but obviously there no good in you pocket when you are in battle, I have used the hand warmers stuffed in beside my pistol in a mag pouch, that way the gun and mag stay warm until you need it, but spare mags still get cold unless you want to spend a few bucks a game in hand warmers.

my solution for the last 5 or 6 winters has been AEP or springer pistol!

AEG's for winter, GBB's for summer. problem solved

there is no simple solution to this. on a cold day I will be lucky to get 7-8 shots out of my TM glock 17. on a hot summer day I will get a mag and a half to 2 mags per fill.

Or get a Socom, no blowback so less gas to operate. Never fails me, even year round.
