Magpul PTS MOE Stock

Post2013-10-23 / 03:29 UTC GMT +00:00

Well ive been looking at getting one of these guys as well as a stick lipo (7.4 so i can keep my ebb). Only problem i seem to be having is that i can never fully collapse my stock. Six position? More like 2! And not even 1 and 2, 5 and 6, and even in the 5th position the butt plate starts to pop off. I dont like any of these positions, and am using a standard crane stock with a 8.4v nimh crane srock battery. I really like the look and feel of the moe stock. Will a moe stock and buffer tube lipo solve this or will it still be uncollapsible? Any advice on how to solve this without front wiring the gun?

MOE with 7.4v or 11.1v buffer tube lipo is no problem. You will be able to retract the stock at any position. BUT if you are running mosfet, the buffer tube lipos are limited to around 1200mah which is not enough. You may end up using 2 batteries for half day.

+1 to pinoy.

i use a 11.1v 1200mah battery in my G&G M4 CQBS. usually ill put down 8-10 mid caps in a day. when i get home i will check my lipo and it usually still has 65% charge left.

Alright, im not running mosfet so i should be good. Will a 7.4 be ok for rof? Or will it be so slow that itd be more worth it to disable blowback and go 11.1? And if i go 11.1 would i for sure have to disable it or is there a chance i can keep it in?

11.1 may be too much for that stock. Neuf has one and he runs 7.4 and is happy with it.

11.1 "over clocks" gets double feeds and locks up, meaning you need to go to full auto then back to semi.

unless your AEG is tuned for a 11.1v stick with a 9.6v NIMH or a 7.4v lipo. it will give you roughtly 13 BPS at 400FPS. PLENTY FAST.

My pdw fires at 20bb/s with an 11.1v and I find it too fast. I will be adjusting it down using a MOSFET. On the same gun I get 14bb/s using a 7.4v lipo, which is plenty.

Ok so i will most likely go with a 7.4 lipo and a moe stock. Hopefully that will solve my collapsible stock problems. Thanks everyone!
