LMAG Radio Frequency Table vs FRS/GMRS Combined Table

Hi All,

I was just taking a quick look at the LMAG radio frequency table (http://www.lowermainlandairsoft.ca/info/index.php?title=Frequency_Table) and I am worried that we are causing more confusion for newer players or players just getting into more advanced radios. The LMAG frequency table shows LMAG Numbers in the first column, I understand these were assigned based on frequencies in ascending order, but there are many players who use FRS, or FRS+GMRS radios and the channel numbers don't line up. (Correct me if I'm wrong but it's been ages since I've seen anyone using a basic GMRS only radio).

For users of FRS+GMRS radios the chart below shows frequencies for channel numbers up to 22. Channel numbers 1-14 also line up with FRS radios. Since these and manually programmed UHF radios are the most common, should we not update the LMAG frequency table to match?

Cheers,
DT

I just took GMRS as the starting gate.

Check this one, set up by a Canadian, using the hybrid numbering (aka Motorola numbering):

Other manufacturers might not use the Moto standard, so I improvised.

Good catch DT, Myself and Jsae spoke about this morning and I can see where the confusion is since my radio is programmed for FRS which translate to CH.1 being Ch.15 as per LMAG table which is FRS. We will be updating and discussing this amongst the FM's and Admins.

Stay tuned
