Lipos!

Post2013-02-12 / 02:47 UTC GMT +00:00

Well, lets get the ball rolling with lipos....

Learned the hard way about how to kill a lipo battery during some maintaince on my gun. Long story short, I was testing the electronics of the gun and my battery was already half dead. So by the time I realized that the source of my gun not firing was due to a dead battery.... It was already to late :( now it doesn't charge and I have a new one on the way. But because of this f up, I ordered a discharge indictor with alarm that everyone should have.

Oh it's so fresh, sniifffff!

Anyways, what type of charger do you have? Unless you have a smart charger that can do a charge/balance/storage/quick charge options you might be able to restore or save your battery. However like you said it might be dead. Does the dead battery have a bulge to it? If not, you might be able to rescue it, maybe.....

I have a skyRC e3 balance charger.... Very basic charger, nothing special.

One of the cells was starting to bulge, nothing crazy and it seems now that It went down, the other cell is fine. I Was looking into getting a good charger, maybe this is a good opportunity?

I had bought this charger a few years ago and it not only charge's Lipo's but NiCd and NiMh batteries as well. A very good unit for a long term investment.
