Can any Beta Project AK owners out there recommend a LiPo battery that will fit? Its pretty tight in there and I'm not sure what battery to order. Thanks!

It depends on your guns FPS and motor strength, you'll likely want an 7.4v or 11.1. For instance my spring in my gun is an M110 with a high torque motor, so it needs an 11.1v to cycle it effectively, but my PTS Masada is stock, so it'll turn nicely on a 7.4v.

Best airsoft lipo batteries you can buy are the Turnigy-Nanotechs, and they can be ordered from www.hobbyking.com. Make sure they are the Nanotech line and that they are ordered from the U.S. warehouse option if you want to see them in this lifetime. If you search for your battery it'll come up with a few options of the 'exact' same thing, except one will say 'US warehouse' underneath it.

As for size, that's hard for me to say. Your standard, fit anywhere in airsoft lipo,is usually the 1200mah, which'll fit in a crane stock, foregrip, buffer tube, etc. It sounds like you could use something smaller? The smaller the lipo the shorter it's charge obviously, so buy at least 2 or 3. Rule of thumb is one BB per milliamp or close. Mine shoots 1 BB to about 1.5mah.

As for 'C' rating it shouldn't really matter much, but I'd recommend the 15-25C over the 25-50C or higher. It's just the batteries discharge rate.

While you're at hobby king online get yourself an Imax B6 balance charger as well. They are affordable, well made and do a nice balance charge, which'll increase the lifespan of your lipo batteries.

So to wrap up....

Type: Lipo (lithium polymer)
Make: Turnigy
Model: Nanotech
Voltage: 7.4v or 11.1v (depending on the gun)
Milliamps: 1200mah or smaller (depending on the size of holding area)
Discharge: 15-25C
Chargers: Imax B6 or Imax B6ac

Thanks for the info Ricochet. I found this on another forum and it might fit but its back ordered.

The battery compartment on the gun is pretty small so I think I might be stuck with a 7.4v, not sure if there is a 11.1 out there that will fit. I'll take some measurements when I get home and see if I can figure it out.

if your using hobby king, make sure you order from one of there USA warehouses, more specifically thier western warehouse. If not the results could be castastrophic! As in waiting a month for your battery.....
