MP7 on HPA!!

Not the best Pic, but I just finished a HPA conversion to my MP7 Mag.

tested it today with around 400 rounds through it, very consistent over the chrono, accuracy stayed the same as with Gas but no high low flyers, likely due to the consistent air pressure..

I was able to adjust the FPS with the regulator from 310 fps w/.02 60psi - 400 fps w/.020 at 120 psi, it ran best around 85-90psi @ 380 fps, trying to get higher fps didn't do much, this was due to the valve volume and the hammer spring, if you modified your valve or went hi-flow and or heavy striker spring you could very easy hit numbers of 450-500 @ 120-130psi. but why?

on a hot day equivalent Propane gas pressure can reach 120-130psi and possibly a little higher depending on temp.

the nice thing about HPA is the consistency and the fact you can dial down the wear and tear on your blow back, at 80psi I am approve 10-15 fps under max stock propane numbers but I don't get the pressure spikes.

lube is easy, one or two drops at the beginning of the day.

rapid fire was great, no mag blow outs from cool down, nice even and accurate shots, and good blow back, pressure relates to blow back speed also, but at 80 psi it was same as propane.

also nice to shoot inside...no smell lol

pictured above is my TM socom on HPA.

Next!!..... maybe my Glock 23 for a winter pistol? (giving some though to pistol auto feed as well 8-) )

forgot to mention, the MP7 mag sat out side most of the day before test firing, had no issues.

oh that one would be perfect, it has a faster cycle than the MP7 , on Air it would be very nice!?!? HPA cult? 8-)

What someone should do, get a GBB PDW, buy the drum mag for it, run the airline up through the drum mag, take the top off a gbb MAG and retro fit it onto the drum mag so it feeds, with the airline coming through, and voila....GBB w/ Drum mag.

Theres a VERY long video floating around on youtube of someone doing this and running it flawlessly.
