Webbing, Buckles, & misc hardware?

Hey LMAG,

I've been looking around for some webbing and misc hardware to put together two straps to integrate my chest rig with my pack but I don't know of any local retailers or stores that have such items for sale.

I'm looking for maybe a little under 2 yards of 1" light nylon webbing, a couple of 1.5" male buckles, and 1.5" triglides, all in coyote brown. Does anyone know where I can find this stuff locally? I've sourced them online but wouldn't mind picking them up locally to save on shipping and wait time.

Hm... I think I asked about buckles the last time I was there, during the big sale they had and I think they said they didn't have any (or maybe it was sling hooks... can't remember).

I'll swing by and check them out again before I go to the gym next week then. Are you sure they have webbing though? I don't recall seeing any the last time I went.

Oh and correction, I need 1.5" male buckles and triglides.

As for the buckles Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) have all the hardware that you need but it is in BLK or Grey.
The webbing there are a few colours to pick from.

Atmosphere outdoors & Wholesale Sports Outtfitter will have some of that stuff.

Just down the street from DS Tactical is Tactical Tailor. Ali (the tailor) is very talented and the last time I was there he had every kind of buckle (including Cobra buckles), OD, Tan and black velcro and all kinds of fabric including urban & jungle multicam.

He can add molle to just about anything and has made me a couple of helmet covers, a combat shirt (combing the sleeves from one shirt & the stretchy torso of a battle shirt) & has done lots of other modifications and repairs to my gear. He does all the custom work and repairs for the Police forces that buy their gear through DS.

That being said, I took another look at my chest rig and pack and I think I might forgo the straps for now. I just realized I'd need to install another side strap on pack (don't want to install anything permanent), above the one that's already there to securely attach the chest rig. At the point I think I'll just use the top part of the H-harness that came with my rig and just use the waist buckle on the pack until I figure out the best way to integrate it. (Sorry if I'm confusing people, kinda hard to put it into words)

On another note, does DStactical sell kydex sheets? I want to make some magazine inserts for my other chest rig as some of my mags are catching on each other and they're kinda hard to pull out.

My creative side seems to be coming out this week lol, I've been thinking up & doing a bunch of diy enhancements on my gear for some reason

I'm not sure if DS sells Kydex sheets but an employee there named Eddie has made a few Kydex holsters and could point you in the right direction. Eddie is an old airsofter from back in the day (PIMP), but beware he will try to sell you everything in the store.

Eddie just gave me a sheet of coyote Kydex last week. He has more extra sheets in black and CB. Tell me how much do you need and color and I will pass on the message.
