A polarstar for $400! Well sort of a Tippmann.

I saw a video of this system and it looks pretty cool. You can either run a co2 mag or remote line. All with no batteries or a fcu like the polarstar. I'm guessing it will be able to handle all weather better.

The M4 Carbine features a realistic flip-top break down design like a true M4/AR. Its versatile air system uses either a 12g CO2 cartridge in the 80 round magazine, or the built-in remote line. It’s also compatible with airsoft’s standard magazines, from 30 to 300 rounds. The M4 Carbine has a metal receiver, and is compatible with many actual M4/AR components including a rear stock, front shroud and standard Picatinny Rail System.

The M4 Carbine is adjustable to match each player’s needs and style of play. The rate of fire can range from semi-auto to 20 rounds per second full-auto, using an air assisted trigger design that does not require batteries. Velocity can be adjusted up to 400 feet per second and can be equipped with a velocity adjustment lock. The inner sleeved barrel is airsoft standard (aftermarket compatible) with adjustable hop up. An armorer’s wrench is included for barrel changes. Other features include Tippmann’s proven in-line bolt system with anti-jam technology, flip up front and rear sights and modular 8-sided Picatinny fore grip.

Made in the U.S.A. and backed by Tippmann’s unrivaled 1 year full warranty the new M4 Carbine will retail for $399.

Sounds cool but I can't see a 12 g co2 lasting too long with a full auto gun.

You can run a remote line similar to a polarstar.

Ya,I saw that but I think that's a big downside for those guns. I know they are quick release but a flatter air tank that you could put in your camelback or similar idea I think would be nice. You know, when your lying prone and you have this big tank sticking up off your back. It's bad enough with a small drop bag and radio.
I really liked everything else when I saw Napalm's. It shot great and the sound was so different, with a small suppressor.
I see more people getting into it, as long as you have air on the field, that is!

It's certainly a very interesting move by Tippmann. Being originally from paintball and heavily invested in both markets, the implications are exciting. That said, a P* engine is essentially the same tech that paintball's spent the last decade developing and refining. I have more than enough experience with it, and I've actually avoided it personally up until this point as I've gotten much more satisfaction and enjoyment out of learning how to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of a gearbox system. It's been a nice change of pace. :P

Edit: There's also the fact that with a P* you have the remote line and tank. I like the fact that with airsoft it's an all in one system with no extra air modules, so that's another reason I've stayed away from it.
