KWA pistol hop up problems....

Post2014-02-17 / 05:42 UTC GMT +00:00

I believe that most KWA pistols have the same hop up design. my KWA 226 hop up works flawlessly, here is the problem. Then I adjust the hop up using the included tool my inner barrel slightly twists in the direction of the adjustment. This makes my BB's rise and hook in the direction of the adjustment.

When I take the barrel assembly apart I can see the grub screw that is suppose to stop the barrel spinning, the screw is TIGHT and the barrel still twists....... WTF?????

ANY IDEAS GUYS..... im thinking of just putting a small dab of hot glue on the barrel before I close the 2 half's of the hop assembly. that way the barrel wont twist, and when I want to take the hop up unit apart I can just break the weak hot glue hold.....

it can't hurt.

But the barrel should not turning.

Does the rubber hop-up look swollen?

Instead of hot glue , try using RTV silicone (Ultra Black). I find it has better grip strength and still non permanent . I've been using it on everything from mech box screws to flash hiders with good results .
