Also, sarcasm is a live verbal interaction. In writing your audience will nearly always take it seriously because writing loses your intonation and facial expression.

As far as online conversations go, most players seem to like to read more than comment while on the forum. We also try to get conversations about scenarios, gear, AEG upgrading, AEG knowledge, Questions of the Day, and more.

Why do you think the general player population won't comment on gear, upgrades, scenarios, QOTD, upgrading?

That is a good Question.

I have found in my limited time of life so far, that most Guys tend to be modest and unless directly asked will just sit back and listen (read in this format) unless they feel that they have some insight or passionate about the topic.

There are some that have the gift of the gab or in this case Pen, (Not me) that could go on this forum and fill it with tons of stuff (we have, and have had many in the past). But I think most guys don't post for the fear of having an opinion that might be disagreed with by their peers. (What I have Observed not just on this forum but in life) That once a person puts it up on the forum or in public it is there for everyone to see and if you are not confident in what you have to say then you may not reply, or if someone has already posted up the same opinion that you have then most confident modest guys don't feel the need to pipe-in to just heard their voice, in this case post something up.

On game days in the safe zone or on the field. I enjoy listening to the wealth of Knowledge that is shared freely about Gear, Guns, Mods and what is the latest and advancement of upcoming changes to this sport. There is so much out there that sometimes I wish I had a notebook with me, If I was smart I would start carrying one on me, like Jsae does.

So in my opinion that great sharing on the field and comradery is sometimes lost once we are off the field. For example the start of this "POST", like Jsae said that, " sarcasm is a live verbal interaction. In writing your audience will nearly always take it seriously because writing loses your intonation and facial expression."

So in the infamous words of the Joker "WHY SO SERIOUS!"

More sharing and less burning.

A few things to point out. everyone relax.

Any new device like this Flash Bang from Enola Gay, would have to be imported from the UK, if allowed by customs. If folks can bring them in, that's step one. Second , the Admins and FM's would have to test them out to see the effect's of the device if it is safe to use for the members, Step two. Then we would have to make sure that it is allowed to be used base on the sound readings in Decibel's. Remember, City of Surrey and Langley township both have noise bylaws that we have to deal with, step three. This is why we can't use Thunder-B's much.
If you can get these in, I and the other admins/FM's would like to have a look at them for sure "BEFORE" they enter service.

By the looks of the item, it may be a huge fire hazard during the warm months, but might be able to use them in winter months. Also the safety concern to the players who may use them incorrectly, considering one accident with a Thunder-B, which I hope would not happen again. Being classifeld as a firework, we all know how difficult it is to get them whether it is roman candles ,bottle rockets, tnt's, mighty might's and sceecharoo's. Most townships have fireworks ban, which I know Langley does.
And of course lastly, would the device be allowed by Panthers staff for use, step Four. That is allot to consider.

Anyone able to get these is up to the that person, however testing would have to be done in all fairness to ensure this product is safe to use.

cheers

Seeing as you(Panther) has brought up new year changes, Some of us would like to know why we can not walk in the creek. There are maybe 5 or 6 guys that will actually do it and our rules are no bbs in the creek. That means shooting from it or at someone in the creek. It is also my understanding that if it is because of spawning fish its not posted by fisheries nor do we have a bunch of players walking up and down it. Its is just for crossing.
Thanks
Some people think I am trying to be sneaky, its really that my eyes are not as good and I have to make sure its a tree and not the enemy! Trees do not call hits. I have shot a few.

I honestly can't see players smuggling bb's onto the field for later use. Dollars to doughnuts it's an old bag that was left behind from a while ago. People will be finding weird treasures on the field for years from airsoft gear being lost or left behind, burnt cars, beer bottles and other strange random debris that has spread.

When the forums die from lack of conversation, this post will show why. Maybe next time rather then bashing it.

Tj I think most of the responses have been constructive. Let's face it there are guys out there that would not use these in a safe manner. As the more critical responses have pointed out. Having said that it is always good to see people wanting to enhance the game.
