I personally prefer the sound and feel of a GBBR or GBB SMG. There is something about the tactile response from the gun that really appeals to me which is really the only reason you would get one IMO. So I understand that the high cost, up keep and technical issues are what keep most people away from a GBBR setup.

I do agree that you give up a lot playing with A GBBR especially against an army of AEG's. To me though there is few things more satisfying than going out on a hot day in the summer and taking out a few AEG players with one of my gas guns. To me jams or feeding issues out on the field are just the nature of the beast that is GBBR, as the dirt and crud out there can drastically affect the function of the gun.

Being a tinkerer at heart I personally do not mind the up keep or the problems involved with a GBBR or GBB SMG. When I purchase a new GBBR or GBB SMG I will also buy a few parts right away like an extra nozzle and mag lips as I usually have failures with these parts first and sometimes after awhile they are very hard to find but this also adds to the total cost.

Ultimately though sometimes I just want a hassle free day and shoot some plastic down range so I will just use one of my AEGs with mid caps. :) In the winter time I will exclusivity use AEG's and AEPs until it gets warm enough to run my gas guns so I don't damage them. I definitely agree with Pinoy that Airsoft should be about what "you" the player wants it to be.

P.S. The Polarstar system reminds me a lot of the older Maruzen Bullet Valve system guns.

That would be awesome if they could fit the tank in an m16 stock.
I'm so operator when my battery dies I take my barrel out and use it as a blow gun.

I dont know if P* offers the same recoil as of those classics JACs and ASAHIs. I remember those classics shoots really hard and kicks like a jack hammer.

Your correct the P* don't currently have any sweet blow back action. I heard they are working on a blow back system which I would love. Not a big fan of super quiet airsoft guns. The louder and jumpier the better. I would still prefer to have the HPA bottle on my back then having a heavy anchor on the stock of the gun.

I'm not sure about Daytona Gun but some of you old school airsofter's might know if they had HPA blow back.

Yep it does. I worked on one before and also kicks like a jackhammer.
