Any guys here have experience with the CA/A&k versions of the m249?

i have an a&k 249 para and have worked on CAs as well... very similar design and most parts have been cross compatible

not sure how many rounds iv put through mine before i wore the motor right out... probably around 100,000 rounds through mine over the last 3-4 years iv had it, been fairly reliable

that's good to hear, I picked up an A&k m249 so I was just curious what other guys feel about them. How was your hop up? First impression with mine was pretty disappointing, but nothing then a quick fix courtesy of youtube couldn't fix. Also, has it just been your motor you've had to replace? any tips and tricks is greatly appreciated.

i have made my own hop-up mod for the 249 because i really didnt like how well it worked... basicly made a custom nub to push the hop-up rubber... i have replaced the gears to a high torque set , have gone through a couple pistons... then again i put an 11.1 lipo in it for awhile and thats when pistons broke.... all in all iv done less to it over the years than any other gun i have, the micro switch and lack of semi to give problems cuts out some of the common problems
