Lower Mainland Airsoft Group Forum

Hey guys,
Looking to make the switch from paintball to airsoft, well maybe not a switch but play a bit of both. I have heard of airsoft but never really looked into it. Like the idea of not being tethered to an air tank and being a lefty the hoppers doesn't help. Also I have been checking out some of the rifles and I like the thought of full metal as I have broken my plastic parts a few times. I will have to do some more reading of the rules, I did see the one about velocity which is good to know before buying anything. I guess I can use a lot of my paintball gear, face mask, clothing, and stuff with both.

RENT A GUN AND PLAY AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING.

As mentioned, the best way to dip into Airsoft is to try out renting first from either one of us or Panther and then head out to one of our games at panther. The rules , FPS limits and MED's are all pretty much common sense and very easy to remember. They are there for safety for you and others on the field. Like PB, Airsoft is also a shooting hobby/sport with a shit load of guns to choose from, of which can drain the pocket book really fast , even the wife/girlfriend will take notice!!
We have a great crew of guys/girls that have a age range of 20 years to 50 years old. Don't be afraid to ask questions and there is no such thing as a stupid question.

Thanks...I would be on the older end of your group..lol The only thing I would have to worry about with the wife is she got her own gear to. She enjoys paintball but not a fan of all the protective gear. Full mask bothers her and the air bottle on her marker makes it difficult to aim but aiming in paintball is a waste as very rarely do your paintball hit what you see in your sites. Are there a lot of Airsoft fields?

Currently there is :
Panther Field
Ambush field
Maple Ridge PB field
Bigfoot games Field
*unofficially a new field being built in south Langley.

As mentioned above there are a few private fields as well.
