Referring to: http://www.ucsgc.com/field-manual.html -- Section 2 has Personal Protective Equipment requirements for minors, but the minimum age is omitted.

I know there is a mag limit for your primary, but what if I wanted to carry a shotgun too? Am I limited on how many extra shells I could carry? I didn't see anything that seemed to cover this in the rules.

I have a list of questions
items are:

1.Is there on site washrooms?
2. Is there Camping on site, ie tents, campers and Rv's?
3.Is there a source of power hook ups for recharge batteries like radios, rifle's batt's etc?
4.Depending on answer 3, are we allowed portable generators to help with recharging batteries?
5. Wavier's?
6. How is the tier's to work with down time if you are level 2 or 3, ie sleeping, eating when your off field.
7. When off field during a break is beers allowed during extended off times at camp site?
8.What is available for First Aid on site? (related to the Hornet nest issue)
9. Are cold smokes available to use or restricted.
10. What is the bear and cougar situation in this area?

This is a few items I would like to know, thanks

Based on everything I've read I think I can answer a few of your questions.
7. "3.1.1 THE USE OF MIND ALTERING SUBSTANCES (OF ANY KIND) BEFORE OR
DURING THE GAME WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. This includes, but is not limited to alcohol, drugs and prescription medications."
- From the rule book, I assume even the breaks are considered during or before.

9. "6.7.1 Cold smoke only 6.7.2 Even though its cold smoke only smoke grenades are allowed but must be called in and must be watch in heavily wooded areas to prevent fires. Cold smoke still produces some heat."

10. In one of their videos they said they will be sounding bear horns throughout the area regularly through the event. I assume that means that bears are a possibility, but hopefully can be scared off by the horns.

Bears have been known to become accustomed to air horns.

Shhhh, it'll be fine.. that's not a grizzly sneaking up on you while you sleep.

I haven't heard of any bear sightings last year, but they said to call it in on your radio if you even see one in the distance.

I'd love to do this and play through the night. Just wondering how much of a disadvantage I'm going to have at night if I didn't have night vision? Do most people have them or is it just a few guys?

Thought I would answer what can, as I've attended last year. I'll try to get answers on what I can't.

1.Is there on site washrooms?1.Is there on site washrooms?
There are sporadic porta-porties in the area, as this is an active gravel pit; Which, as an aside, is a good reason to watch out while on any roads and such. Those gravel trucks come through at some speed, during day light hours.

. Is there Camping on site, ie tents, campers and Rv's?
There is something in the works, where camping *may* be provided, which would add to the immersion, if it proves possible. However, at this time it is 'bring your own shelter.'

3.Is there a source of power hook ups for recharge batteries like radios, rifle's batt's etc?
There is no power on site. It is pretty much a big undeveloped area. So, short of converters in your vehicles, there is no way to recharge your gear. Extra batteries are highly recommended.

4.Depending on answer 3, are we allowed portable generators to help with recharging batteries?
I can't see why there would be restrictions on this, but I will pass along the query.

5. Wavier's?
There were waivers we signed on site, or insurance purposes.

6. How is the tier's to work with down time if you are level 2 or 3, ie sleeping, eating when your off field.
At this time, the tier system is largely an organisational situation. There are no enforced hours, from what I have been told, except those imposed arbitrarily by command staff. It is more like 'I will commit to X amount of play.' My squad had plans to take turns sleeping in shifts, and as General it is my intention to work with squad leaders in order to rotate out the Tier 1 teams and give them some sack time, during less critical times. This allows for Tier 2 and Tier 3 players to rotate in an have a go, as well, which keeps the 'fun' factor there for everyone. A Tier 2 player could, theoretically, do the full pull if they liked, they just aren't expected to.

7. When off field during a break is beers allowed during extended off times at camp site?
Dry site, so no go on that one. I will clarify this with Stuart once more, but at this time, no.

8.What is available for First Aid on site? (related to the Hornet nest issue)
They had several First Aid people, with level 2 cert, or higher, present. Stuart and his group are highly trained professionals, in their regular lives, and were pretty on the ball. They also had vehicles ready in case anything serious came up. We also had some people within our group who had varying degrees of first aid. I will ask about this year's plans.

9. Are cold smokes available to use or restricted.
Cold smokes are cool, their use within the forested areas are restricted, due to the dry conditions. You basically need to radio in and request a game admin to be present, in case of fire.

10. What is the bear and cougar situation in this area
There was an incident with the SpecOps teams on the Friday night, where they had a cougar run across the trail they were camped out on. Nothing drastic happened, but it got everyone going. Bears are common in the area. My team carried bear bangers and mace, and Stuarts people were good about keeping patrols going and on the lookout. Still, they are a possibility.

Night Vision
I'm sure there will be people on both sides with NVGs. I have a decent gen1+ set, and I'd be surprised if the Albertans didn't have some in their group. A lot of them had some pretty spiffy gear. Whether or not they give you an edge is really up to you. Honestly, the NVGs give a slight advantage, but not significantly so. Using them is a pretty specific skill, and takes some getting used to. We're not expecting a great deal of fire fights, middle of the night, but if it happens, your natural night vision should be just fine. Just don't make a habit of flashing your flashlights, and your eyes should be able to adjust just fine.

Mag/Ammo limits
Things get confusing when you mix guns. Technically, the MAG limits remain the same, across the board. You have an upper limit of 8 mid-cap mags. Shotguns make that tricky, but you can't have more than the equivalent of 8 mid-caps worth of BBs loaded at any given time. Keep in mind, you can always reload at any FOB, so you don't need a lot of ammo on your person, at any given time.
