This is a full Milsim with specific rules for ammo limits, medics, etc.

Background:

The Syrian civil war has been raging since March 2011 and according to the UN has claimed the lives of over 100,000 syrians. Two years later, the government lead by Bashir Al-Assad is no closer to giving the rebels what they want, Assads resignation and the end of the Ba'ath party rule.

Fighting has escalated over the last 2 years with both sides mounting offensives against strategic objectives, many in heavily populated cities. With the rebels becoming increasing difficult to uproot, the international community was concerned that the Syrian army would resort to using chemical weapons in an effort to turn the tide. Echoing the views of the western world, the United States warned that the use of such weapons was a "red line" for the Ba'athist regime, and would result in "enormous consequences" if crossed.

Syria is believed to possess a stockpile of sulfur mustard, sarin, and VX chemical warfare agents as well as missile warheads, aerial bombs, and artillery rockets that can be used to deliver these agents. Sarin, the chemical nerve agent that the Assad regime is most likely to use, inhibits a key enzyme that controls muscle activity. It is among the most toxic type of chemical weapons and can cause death within minutes.

Recently, the Obama administration has reported with "high confidence" that the government of Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons against rebel fighters. The report, which quotes various witnesses, said that the Syrian government performed missile tests near a chemical weapons research center at al-Safir, east of Aleppo, and were carried out with the aid of Iranian officers who were flown in for the testing.

According to the report, five or six surface to surface missiles capable of delivering poison gas were fired by mobile missile launchers at the site of Diraiham in the desert, near the village of Khanasir and may have hit the southern area of Aleppo. Following the tests, the mobile missile launchers were moved to one of 20 nearby storage sites that the Syrian Government has set up to warehouse their chemical weapons.

The report cited unnamed American and Middle Eastern officials, who also said there could be additional sites of which they were unaware. The officials said their governments believe Syria has several tons of chemical weapons and materials, including weapons-ready sarin gas, and that the most dangerous elements of the arsenal are stored in secured bunkers.

The officials also said that U.S. intelligence agencies are monitoring the facilities, and have plans to secure them in the event that the situation in the country spins further out of control.

Unfortunately, the US in not in a position to enter into another ground war in the middle east and hopes the Assad regime does not overtly use chemical weapons which would force the US to make good on it's promise of intervention. Consequently, the US and it's allies are collaborating in an operation to monitor and disrupt the chemical weapons stockpiles and delivery systems in secret. Hopefully taking away Assads ability to mount an effective chemical weapon attack on the rebels or the Syrian populace.

Risky Sun III: Operation Body Shot

A small group of USSOCOM operators, paramilitary SOG units from the CIA's Special Activities Division, and British SAS are to infiltrate Syria via Turkey. Their mission will be to make their way to Diraiham to locate the chemical weapons caches and delivery vehicles in the area and to ensure that they are destroyed or disabled.

Syrian army regulars and the Syrian 14th Airborne Division are tasked with security of the installations as well as the defence and operation of the Mobile Missile launchers. Along with their Russian advisors, these Syrian forces are among the most highly trained and best equipped in the Syrian army.
